Should You Stay During an Open House?
During an open house event, some sellers want to be there because they feel they can point out important features to visitors or perhaps they are concerned about home security.
Here is the reality.
- Buyers will feel uncomfortable when home owners are present
- Buyers may not take the time to "feel" the house (turn on faucets, open closet doors) and therefore will walk away unsatisfied
- Too much talking most likely will have a negative effect and "kill the deal". REALTORS will know how much to say and when to be quiet - unlike a homeowner.
If you must be present for some reason, stay "out of the way".
